Sunday

I Don't Usually Do This, But... We All Need An Antidote

To Britt, Penelope & Ryan.

Thank you.
----------
No secret the last few days were an emotional rollercoaster and an eye-opener in all sorts of vampire-slaying ways.

"There's no better platform on earth for true character to shine than in times of adversity," I read somewhere long ago. Time and time again life shows me the veracity of said statement when I least expect it.

Sometimes, I find that looking at pictures from my past soothes me and makes me feel good about the yet unlived future. I wanted to share some of my personal favorites with you today and hope for the best with the ones that've yet to be snapped.

(That and I'm working on a cartoon heavy post about nipple tassels and sexy time but I had to clean my house and do laundry and that takes me forever because I'm easily distracted by shiny objects and re-runs of Dexter).

At any rate, here they are. I hope you're having a beer-filled Sunday (Amstel Light happens to be my favorite).

I'm sorry, did you say something? I got lost around 'nipple tassels...'

Amazing pictures. Your smile looks contagious. Like the plague. But a happy plague.

Lost: Thank you :) And trust me the nipple tassels will be worth the wait.

J. Franklin: Thank you, babesters. I surely hopeso and I'm sure you're right.

Violet & Mandy: Which guy? And yeah, she was quite the demon child, that rescue. But she found a good hoome nevertheless. Apparently those fluffy white dogs are in high demand.

Here, I'll say it before anonymous so it loses its venom when he/she/it says it: look at you, being such a little whore in all of those pictures...you make me sick with all your little whore friends.

Haha. You know I totally <3 you! Hope your weekend is a blast!

A Beer: You've always wanted to say that, haven't you? And thank you, sugar plum.

Ms. Co-dependent: Best comment ever. ha!

Sunday is the Lord's day and as such I have been at service giving thanks for the life He has given me and also praying for people like you to see the error of your ways instead of fawning over the ridiculous musings of some hell-bound skank.

I'm not disappointed.

Personal fav....... smiling dog, with his/her tongue hanging out and one ear up.

I have the first 2 seasons of Dexter, but lately have discovered "Glee" on Netflicks.

How much fun would it be if Dexter and cast broke out into song?

Annah I loved the pictures, especially the ones with you in them and of course your pets. I hope you've had a great weekend. Mine was peaceful and lazy with no beer, but plenty of red wine. Have an awesome week.

Good follow up post. Reminds me of how I used to love to peruse all the photos on all my girls' notebooks in high school. Remember those super filtered home girl pictures everyone used to take at the mall. I loved those. They were like trading cards to me.

I love looking at pictures. I doesn't matter if they are mine, or belong to someone else, or to someone I barely know and have no idea who I'm looking at. I just love seeing moments frozen in time. The emotion, the movement and surroundings. They all change in real life, but remain perfectly preserved in a photograph.

Thank you so much for sharing them, my darling.~ *mwah!*

Anonymous, please shut the fuck up. Nobody likes you and I talked to Jesus and he says he doesn't like you either. You just need to get a blowjob and you'll be alright.

Annah, good choice on the beer. I'm a fan of that one. As well as pretty much every other beer.

Cool pics. I particularly like the one with the big tuna boat car on the street (very Cuba/Florida), and the one with the kitty cat near the lion statue.

Eres una estrella.

Great pictures. You guys all look like you're having a great time. You're too damn cute Annah! The dog with one ear up is by far my fav. Hugs and kisses.

It's a time-tested technique to lift your spirits, to look at pictures of yourself being happy. Except when I do that, I think, I was so skinny, dammit, I should have had more sex (!) - and that's saying a lot, I will be riding the escalator to hell right alongside you, if a certain envious someone is to be believed ;) - and I wish I'd kicked that guy in the nuts at that EXACT moment and walked out of that picture...etc etc. Someone else once said, Living well is the best revenge, and I would tell you who that was if I wasn't procrastinating fiercely right now, and promised myself I wouldn't open any more google windows before getting back to work.

btw, fyi just to you *wink*, I didn't get that job, but I did get my THIRD professional writing gig, which won't pay the rent or feed me but still feels pretty kick-ass. My writing process involves lots of blog-reading (check), Starbucks-drinking, and Twittering as my dog, so I've gotta run. You rock, querida :)
