Open Heart

This is Bruno.
I rescued him before leaving on a trip to Vegas three years ago. "As soon as I come back, I'll find him a home," I told my mom. He loves everything that's food related and eating earplugs.
He dislikes strangers petting his head almost as much as getting his hair cut.
Yesterday I dragged him to the groomers (I couldn't bear to look at him waddle with all that hair anymore).
He's not very happy with me presently, but a few trips to McDonald's will take care of that.
------------------------------------
This is Mikey.
I rescued him last Thanksgiving. "As soon as the holidays are over, I'll find him a home," I said to my mom.
Mikey likes squeeky toys and fighting with Bruno. He also likes biting people when they least expect it and getting me into trouble with the neighbors, as well as humping my leg when he thinks I'm sleeping.
------------------------------------
This is Beba.
"I have to keep her for two months?!" I asked her owner.

"Yeah, but then I'll be back and pick her up from you right away."

That was ten years ago.

Beba cares about two things and two things only: Sleeping on my bed and going on car rides (especially if those car rides lead to the beach).
------------------------------------
This is Annah.
She was rescued a few years ago by a bunch of crazy dogs with no home to call their own. She likes cupcakes, vodka, children, medium-rare steak, books, traveling, and people who bite when kissing.
She really wishes this holiday season you'd open your heart to rescuing something (even if it's yourself).

Sexy pose girl and you were even beautiful as a child. Lovely mom too. You and my daughter would get along great, she is a rescuer too and now has 3 outside dogs, 1 inside dog and two cats who have their own room upstairs.. You have a wonderful Christmas and hurry back.

Animal rescue is where it is at.

I haven't been ready for a 2nd pup yet, but lately, I've been thinking that maybe, you know, soon, I could contemplate maybe being ready. One day.

Odie: lol that last picture is me and my baby cousin. I was 18 in it. She was 3. That's my living room in Cuba. Those rocking chairs are the best thing, ever.

Alicia: I'm sure the perfect doggie is out there waiting for you. Think about it.

Jeannie: You're a rescue mommy too. Love you my preggers.

Ditz: Hmmm I've been craving some steak lately too. Hopefully will get some for new year's.

Danger Boy: Meaow!

Lola: :) He's a big pile of warm goodness. My little fatso.

I really liked your "I make up holidays" tag. You should make it a staple; every month or so you can add a new one. Nobody will ever top Christmas, but I think a 'National Orgasm Day' would do brisk business. I can think of a few people I'd NOD to to. In fact, sweet cheeks, I'm thinking of one right now...

You have a good heart, and you're so purty ...

and becareful biting while kissing, especially during the winter time +sensitive lips + open cut = AIDS.

happy holidays!

It's kinda nice to know that if I ever come across a stray dog and can't take care of it, I know I can send it to you hah.

You're the best Annah Banana

I'm going to need rescuing pretty soon myself. Can I come live with you? I don't bark, I'm housebroken and I even can get my own food and water. Pleeeeeeeze? hahahahaha

Happy holidays, pretty lady! My own rescued mutt sends his holiday greetings to you and your mutts, too! He hates having a bath almost as much as Bruno hates getting haircuts. Though Atari loves *almost* everybody--lone exception so far my cousin Sherry, who I'm not crazy about, either. Of course he's not wild about me, after I've bathed him--until I give him a treat, of course. Then I'm cool again. For a while.

Drake: I know. I had a moment. p.s. Everytime I see your comments I am reminded of that hot, sexy rap singer Drake. YUM!

Constar: He's an English Spaniel. Like the Lady and the Tramp doggie. But when he's shaved like he is now he can be confused for a cocka-poodle.

V: Sheesh not that hard! (the biting).

Not Actually God: LOL YOU ARE TOO MUCH!

Jeannie: I knew it would happen. All you needed was time.

Samson: You can. You always can. You know where to find me.

Barb: I still say I have to go up to Myrtle and have a few strawberry margaritas with you.

J. Franklin: I love the name Atari. LOVE LOVE LOVE IT.

I am sitting next to my new Christmas puppy (Thanks, Mom!), named Toby by his foster parents. I lost my babies in October - you posted their pictures in your dog post last month - and I wasn't expecting a new dog so soon in my life. But the Russell Rescue Society website kept calling my name, and there was his little face - and his big nose. I am not used to a puppy, after almost 16 years - but even at a year old, he's so excited about birds, and leaves, and new people - I love the new perspective he's brought me. And the woman who found him wandering the streets, and the woman who was fostering him, both adore him, and would have kept him if they could have. So I'm really lucky I have such a sweetheart in my life.

I've got two rescuees on my blog page, George and Louise (Wheezy)...names not intended, just so happened the shelter named him King George and we kept the moniker. He definetely looks like a George. You'll have to drop by and look at their pictures (I'm a proud momma). I love saving pets; too bad people still hold an interest in dropping hundreds of dollars on a pedigreed pet when there are plenty up for adoption.

I blog way too much about my foster pets as well as my own rescues...yesterday we worked out 8 is about the maximum our house can take!

Awwwwww. That's super cute!

Were they all pretty good dog when you rescued em?

Cause we (my bf and I) just rescued a dog and he eats everything. I can't even begin to know how to train that out of him. He's eaten so many electronics, mostly remotes, that he is probably half cyborg by now.

Sadly all you'll have when you arrive here is a rather sniffy cat who'll only pay you attention when he;s good and ready.

He's like the feline version of me.

I'm glad those dogs rescued you! Hee hee. My eyes are always open! We are going to rescue within the next year or so. Just haven't found our perfect match yet!

Those puppies are pretty much the cutest things ever, biting and humping notwithstanding.

Annah said...

Boppie: So glad you found a pet, darling. You deserve a cute little sweetie. Happy Holidays!

Looksie: Not at all. Mikey tried biting me for about two weeks straight. He did *not* like me at all. And I was the one who rescued him! lol. But then he warmed up to me. Bruno still has accidents (sometimes on my bed). The only one that's a perfect angel is Beba.

B: Can't wait to see what he's like!

Jules: I wish you luck. I'm sure he/she is out there.

Soft: I agree.

Beautiful. Biting initiates play among many different species. It also shows you care.

This is adorable, dear! I got to go home for Christmas and see my two darlingest doggies, both of whom are rescues. I miss them every day when I don't see them, and pictures just don't have the same effect.
